Dementia Friends is a global movement that is changing the way people think, act, and talk about dementia. The Dementia Friends curriculum raises awareness and understanding of dementia and challenges the stigma and negative messaging of dementia. The session will help participants understand the basics of dementia including common types, signs and symptoms, communication tips and community resources. Participants will learn five key messages about dementia, how it affects people, and how we each can make a difference in the lives of people living with the disease.
